Tutorial #2 - How To Apply A Mask

Masks are easy and uncomplicated. ..try these steps and see what ya like

1. Open a new raster image in PSP - transparent



2. Flood fill the raster with whatever color you like (usually know what tube you are working with before you do...put the lighter color on the bottom)



3. Layers > New Raster Layer and flood fill with another color (usually the darker color from your tube)



4. Layers > Load/Save Mask > Load Mask from Disk and pick out a mask to load and load at the following settings:

5. On your layers palette notice the new layer is 3 layers. click the top part and right click Merge > Merge Group





Voila You've now added a mask!!!!!!!!



Now what you do with it is up to you ..you can keep it full size or you can merge the two layers together and minmize to use as decoration.. .here is a sample of what i did with it...
